I had my cholesterol checked after less than a month of starting the McDougall program. I had planned on waiting several months, but our local hopital had a low-cost lipid profile available on a certain day so I went ahead and had it done.
My previous results were from a physical I had several months earlier. I made no transition to the program simply changing my diet completely one day so I think my last physical reflected my levels as I made the switch.
Previous levels:
Total choesterol - 186
LDL - 127
HDL - 32
After 3 weeks and 5 day:
Total cholesterol - 141
LDL - 87
HDL - 30
