On 7/8/2013, I decided to change my diet to a "mostly" WFPB diet. I have always been somewhat lean and muscular due to being a lifelong exerciser. Change in diet due to feeling crummy all the time despite a healthy outward appearance. Image

Re: OK, what i am having today.

Postby Janey1 » Thu Mar 27, 2014 10:33 am

I'm always left feeling somewhat inadequate when i read how healthy and abstemious everyone else on this programme is. I eat this way but my daily intake is MUCH more than you lot. I seem to live mostly on oats, nuts, avocado pears, beans and homemade bread - lots of it. No bowls of steamed cabbage for me. i just can't survive on salad and boiled mushrooms and what not. Is my metabolism that much different from other people, or what? I need food - proper, filling food - and for me that means bread, oats, plates of beans cooked in onion and tomatoes and at least a one whole avo a day.

Lunch and supper today: large wedges of bread piled high with avocado and warm beans. So, so delicious. Breakfast, as it has been for twenty years - a big bowl of oats with nuts, banana, grated pear, raisins, etc. I am sure i sometimes eat more calories on this way of eating than normal eaters do (SAD eaters, as they are called here), even with their milk and meat and cheese etc.

You seem to be doing great Janie. Your meals sound really healthy and delicious. I was eating quite a bit of oatmeal too. The greens are hard. Many ppl simply do not like the taste. I am not eating a lot of greens but I am eating them. I will say greens are not my favorite PB food, LOL. I am eating a lot more beans now. What is your favorite bean to eat?
