Given the risk of type 1 diabetes for infants fed a standard cow's milk formula, what type of formula is best for babies whose mom's cannot or will not breastfeed?

Contact the local la leche league for information regarding donated breast milk. A good quality breast pump can also be used.

Also check out Human Milk 4 Human Babies, you can find a local group on facebook. They are doing an amazing job of matching up moms in need of breastmilk with moms who wish to donate.
