The McD plan is complete, and scientifically based-a great "how-to" plan for living. What I have been missing and I suspect some of the rest of you are too, is the will power or the "want-to". I know whatI need to do, but often don't want to, and in the process keep losing the same 3-5 pounds over and over which really equals failure. I recently ordered the book by Lysa Terkeurst entitled Made to Crave- Satisfying Your Deepest Desire With God, Not Food. I have not yet finished the book, but it has already had a profound influence on my thinking and eating behaviors. It is not a "diet" book, it is instead written to share the "want-to". I highly recommend this book, and would love to have a discussion with any one out there who is interested. It is available currently for 8.99 on Christianbook.com.

The author is not vegetarian but this book is a spiritual journey with God on the way to wholeness, and she asserts each person must choose for themselves the eating plan they will follow.

This book is written primarily for women, however, men can benefit just as well from the principles articulated here.

Hello!

I just returned to the MWL program and I saw this book on line yesterday and ordered it and joined her 21 day challenge on-line as well. the second day reading was awesome for me this morning and the feed-back was so on target. Yes, this will be a great companion book for McD Plans of eating. I so need to have Him do this in me, since i have not been able to do it, but I know that I can do all things through Him whom strengthens me. I just have to know it and allow Him to do it in me.

I feel in my spirit that He led me to this book to help me get closer to Him as He molds and shapes me according to His will for me!

Be blessed as we travel this journey for Christ as we begin to honor His temple that he has allowed us to use. We should do all things to bring Him glory and honor and not ourselves.

Ooh, I might just try to find this one. It fits in with other parts of my journey with God that I am embarking on right now.

I took mine on a trip to AZ a few weeks ago, and left in the pocket of the seat in front of me on the plane. Sure hope the person who found it does not just throw it out :-( I will be ordering it again in a day or two, and going thru it again, as it certainly articulated some of my struggles as well as an excellent answer.

I have Made to Crave as well.

I don't agree with the author's particular diet (protein, veg and fruit), but like she says, we all have the choice to eat as we please!

It's a wonderful book.

It really is a great book. Along with you, I don't agree with her particular eating plan, but the theme is not what one eats, it is about finding your "want to" and the self discipline to do it which I and others have found to be very helpful.

A couple of us are going through this book together, and anyone who would like to is welcome to join us :)
