Banana impact on Polyphenols (in blueberries, etc.)

I've been putting both bananas and berries in my cereal/oatmeal, but have recently stumbled across articles saying that oxidase in bananas can degrade polyphenols by up to ~80% (ref: https://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/article ... d3fo01599h)

I realize that food-combining misinformation runs rampant on the Internet, but I'm wondering if there is real benefit in consuming bananas and things with polyphenols like blueberries at different times. Any thoughts Jeff?

Dr. Greger did a 20-minute video unpacking the paper you are describing. It can be found here:

Thanks Drew,
I watch Greger videos all the time, and somehow missed this. So no more bananas in my oatmeal!
