up early again, dog gone it!! exercised and then drank only my water with lemon so far. oats wil be later on.
I will be doing my best to stay the course for the wedding date for son #2 May 27th. I want to look great, who wouldn't?
I plan on starting a food journal on paper today... as a challenge to never cheat with any vegan junkies.... and no nuts, etc....
The Healthy Eating Challenge that is the next community wellness program started my new doctor that I switched it starting next week, on the 25th! I was asked to be a team leader, and said yes!! I just got an email that says the place of the kick off meeting has changed due to the huge response to the article in the newspaper, and that is so cool. Many will start, but not all will want to stick to this... but it will be wonderful to be with other like minded peeps again, like last yr challenge.
and this will be a much shorter drive!! Hurray for that in the winter.
I ate far too much bread again yesterday and I banish that from my kitchen as of now!!
my resolve is steel now!

Good idea to write it down. that seems to always help me stay true to what I want to eat.

I had a fun walk in the cold today and was like a drenched rat by time I got home. I have been good about leaving bread alone but I had some mike and ike's today. bad me.

Rosey, thanks so much for being my McDougller pal here on the boards. I finally got back on the scale to see how much I gained over the holiday and it told me 178.2.... so now it is official, I am doing better and better, and will get it all off!! I know it is all the bread I love too much. on top of the brown rice and pots.
I did get to the gym yesterday, and will again today, and eat more of my 15 bean soup and a salad, plus my usual Bf of oats with some fruit.
Ahh Rosey, candy will always call my name, and I have to have an alt. like celery all ready to go into my mouth!
Next week starts that E2 challenge and I will enjoy those meals tog with others so much!! What I thought was so nice the last time was seeing a few couples there together trying hard to change their eating and exercise life to get rid of some serious diseases. this community challenge is so close by and then it had to be moved to a nearby firehall community room, since the community response was so great!! wow!! I am so thrilled by that news. I think it is great, does not cost anyone a thing, unless they want to do the blood test and even those vouchers are a lot less that paying for them. the meetings are all pot lucks, and teh doctor who is leading the way, has been to a few of the big conferences with the names we all know and they have encouraged her to do this. However we do live in a big area of small farms, and everywhere I drive to, I can see the animals out in the fields, eating grass, and hay, and laying about, no factory farms here at all.... but still and all, when your health is at stake, even a farmer will change his tune. When I think of all the hamburger I used to stock up on, once a month at the commissary on post to feed my kids, and all the bacon, etc, yogurt, we all loved. it is unreal, so I can understand why DH thought it was all a kick, but I have never felt so good!! Here I stay!
Since my DH has decided to at least no drink any alcohol at all, ( to have a brand new liver in 5 yrs -- and his liver is fine mind you, and he did not have the enlarged liver or the fatty liver suspect observation on his scan, like I did 2x... So I am very happy that he has been able to make this decision and stick with it too. almost 3 weeks now.
You all have a great day out there.

Doing good, just too much bread. I am making up more hummus today, from my chickpeas that were sprouted and made up the honey mustard sauce that is for BBQ but is great on anything else too.
did not walk yesterday, due to new fallen snow, but did my wts and exercises, I call it my kitchen yoga and aerobic routines.
My challenge today for myself is to have zero breads!!
