Kirk - just wanted to add some encouragement to the pile. You are doing so great - I know it is frustrating when the setbacks happen or when the scale doesn't reflect the effort you've been putting forth. Just remember the alternative and it will help you keep going forward.

Er, really, you might want to try just big globs of lotion (not rubbed in) in those tight red spaces. I've found its helped lots for me. Its not the same if you rub it in (plus, it can burn/hurt that way). I've gotten rid of angry red places in a day or two that way.

Kirk....where are you? I hope you will be posting again soon, but most of all I hope that you and Jeanette are doing well.

Take care, Kirk. I hope you get your issues resolved.

I know sometimes the tiny steps we take to get anywhere get really exasperating.

Oh Kirk I'm so sorry to hear about your horrible allergic reaction, but glad your great sense of humor helped get you through it. Heal soon, so you can get back in the (bike) saddle!

glad you have a sense of humor! that sure looks sore....those shorts should do the job to keep your legs from rubbing! Bike shorts are my favorite to wear just as regular shorts....hang in there! :D

I've had similar problems - really painful. A good product is Body Glide. It is an anti-blister-and-chafing stick. It comes packaged as a solid stick and you rub it in the sensitive area before exercise.

I hope that rash looks worse than it feels. I am sure you had a miserable few days. I am glad you are feeling better and getting the items you need to heal and exercise. This is one of those stories that will be a great laugh when you look back on your journey to health.Be well.
