2 goals down, a few more to go

Postby geo » Tue May 15, 2012 8:37 am

75 days into a strict MWL lifestyle and I can definitely confirm it works :D

I have Metabolic Syndrome (also called insulin resistance syndrome). I had all the symptoms and markers...hypertension, pre-diabetic, high chol/trig's, kidney problems, arterial plaque problems, obesity, and various other aches and pains...

First goal I reached on MWL was getting my blood pressure back to normal. It was 153/92 with a pulse of 88 when I started this woe.

75 days later it is 104/64 with a pulse of 67.

Second goal reached was to no longer be obese. Yesterday I hit a BMI of 29.5 which means I'm now officially not an obesity statistic anymore. I'm down 43.2 lbs in 75 days. I'm still way over-weight, but at this rate I think I will be very happy come Christmas...

In two weeks I'll have my blood work done again. I'm hoping for some dramatic changes there. I'll post the results then.

Trust me on this: One day you'll wake up and realize that it no longer feels like "being strict." It just feels GOOD. :)
