Can this WOE really lower your cholestrol?

Postby VegSexy » Wed Feb 01, 2012 11:09 am

Yes.

Here are my numbers from today's readings:

Total: 139 (down from 170)
LDL: 73
HDL: 49
Ratio: 2.8
Tri: 87

Glucose: 77

BP 97 / 70

I've had a 31 point drop in my total cholestrol in two months. My other numbers have significantly dropped as well (I would post them, but I don't have them in front of me.)

I achieved this by focussing on the McDougall WOE and exercising. No more vegan junk food, no more processed food, no fat and no more coffee!

This program does work. The proof is in the numbers. Thank you Dr. McDougall for your research and publishing efforts.

He goes to the doctor and asks him what's wrong.
The doctor tells him, "Well, for one thing, you're not eating right."

Paraphrasing Dr McDougall, "expect results."
But congratulations to you, who did all the work.

Thanks to both of you for the kudos.

It's really quite amazing. When the nurse and I saw the numbers I had to ask if the machine was broke. We were not expecting that much of a drop

Neither was my Dr. expecting similar results. And then he continued to recommend statins saying I would get bored with the diet. Really? Seems there are more variety in plants than animials...

And then there are the additional side benefits enumerated by many people here!!

Funny, you say that, giddyupgin, I think our work nurse is starting to come around. She's seeing more and more of my results and her comments are about my food choices are becoming much more positive.

Heck, she evens wants to do yoga with me!
