Am I eating when I’m hungry? It’s hard for me to distinguish hunger for appetite.

You don’t have to figure it out or work out it. Only follow the guidelines. When hungry (regardless of whether you may think it is true hunger, appetite, or something else) just eat. Eat of the recommended foods as outlined in the 10 point checklist.

Over time, it will work itself out.

Weight Change - 3 lbs
Success - Planning my meals and preparing everything in the morning.
Attention - Distract myself when I get a craving for something not on the list.
Keeping the husbands food choices hidden. Out of sight.
Observations - Distract myself from the 4:00 slump. I didn't think that I had lost anything and had possibly gained. I was fearful of my reaction if I didn't lose any weight and had, in fact, gained. My programming still doesn't allow me to totaly trust this "starch" idea.
But, so far, so good.

Current Weight: 228 (-1.0 this week)

While I'm glad to be heading in the right direction, I'm a little disappointed that I only lost a pound. Thinking about the 10 MWL points, the one that I think I could better with is #2. So this week I'll try to be more conscious of the 50/50 plate rule to see if I can see better numbers next week.

Hello Everyone!

last week 218.6 lb
Weight change - 1.4 lbs 217.2
Points from the MWL Checklist where I succeeded this week: 3-10
Points from the MWL Checklist that need greater attention: 1 and 2
General impressions & observations / resources to share / sources of excitement / requests for input & support:

This week had less progress than previous weeks. I did not always follow the 50/50 plate and was eating probably 75% starch for each meal for the first few days. We were able to go to the grocery store to stock up on broccoli and squash, our go to veggies, and was able to go back to the 50/50 plate towards the end of the week.

Great job everyone!
