organic brown rice pasta

Postby bella star 00 » Tue Mar 09, 2010 1:01 am

hello hello everybody...

i was browsing around a local whole foods supermarket today and found an organic brown rice pasta from Tinkyada.
its made of stone-ground organic brown rice and water. No preservatives, gluten-free, wheat free cholesterol free, low fat and low sodium. (25 mg per serving)

has anyone tried it? and im guessing we can use this on MWL since we are allowed to eat brown rice. right?

o and Amy's makes an oil free salsa. which im sure a lot of you know already but im new to MWL and just figured i would share what i found just incase i can help somebody else :-) :-) :-) :-)

It's still a processed food, whether it's made from rice or wheat, so that's a NO on MWLP.

Brown rice pasta is a flour product, so it's not MWL approved.

I don't think pasta is part of the MWL program. I am mostly on the regular McD program, and I can tell you that the Tinkyada rice pasta you mentioned is very nice--especially if you're gluten-sensitive and can't eat wheat pasta. We like all of the shapes but the spaghetti is one of my favorites.
