There are 15 days left in 2009!!!


Counting today, there are 15 days left in 09! The time is really speeding by. Finally, I have a one pound loss today! SInce Oct 1, I've only lost 3 pounds (just 1 pound since mid Oct), I think that I am really back on plan now. Take care, LauraA

only 15 days? wow. Just...wow.

I'll be glad when Christmas is over.

I am also glad to post a loss of one pound this past week. I weighed yesterday and was disappointed. Weighed this morning, and was down about a pound. :)

I would say I'm 95% mini right now, with the other 5% being 3/4's MWL and 1/4 "nibbles"

The nibbles will have to go, and that's for sure. And I mean nibbles such as a few cashews, a chocolate covered pretzel, etc. They will have to go, but I'm also not shaming myself for them. Just...aware.

Well, I am up 1 pound this week. I will concentrate on adherence this week. I got too busy and extras snuck in with out me really paying attention. I keep reminding myself I have only been doing this 3 months and when I don't pay attention old habits take over. By next xmas McDougalling will be my habit and I will eat this way without having to think about it. I am not going to beat myself up over slip ups. Like Heidi said this is not a diet. :nod:

Heidi - knowledge is a powerful thing. You know what keeps my hands securely off nuts? The knowledge that there is about 1 gram of fat PER NUT. Literally. Look up pecans sometime.

Look - its christmas time and you are losing weight. I call that a big victory.

Hello to all of you. I agree, loosing anything, or not gaining during the holidays is great progress!

I lost 2 pounds this week. I am not eating a salad twice a day, (really busy) but maybe one every other day, and i am hungrier between meals as a result, but that has so far not caused me to grab something with a high calorie density. I keep thinking that those things are not food... it started from cooking meat and things with oil for my husband and dog, and i didn't even remotely want it, and i realized that i no longer thought of meat and oil as food, so i have been experimenting thinking about other things that way. Sometimes it works.

May we all not regret our food choices this holiday!

Up .6 today. I've succumbed to the holiday goodies.... Only good thing is that it will be over soon. Congrats to everyone on keeping it level or losing during this challenging time of year! I'll be heading on the road to Southern Calif for the holidays so might not be posting until next year. Happy Holidays to all and I'll check in in January (or maybe before)

Down 1/2 lb. this week. The Christmas goodies are starting to sneak in and I still don't have the willpower to stop them. Therefore, I expect this to be the last time I post a loss till after the first of the year. Good luck to everyone, it is a tough time to lose weight.

Hi all!
I am happy to report to weight gain this week, but no loss either. Still, I will take it. My mind is not in a good place. I am not yelling at myself, knowing that I am headed to Santa Rosa and sanity with Dr. McD in a couple of weeks! Yeah! :D
I will post our weight losses tomorrow morning in case anyone else wants to chime in with results tonight, or early tomorrow.
By the way, I am not sure I will be able to report the scores when I am in CA for the first 2 weeks in January. I will start it on January 1, which is a Friday. After that, does someone else want to do it for the next few weeks or for the rest of the month? I will be happy to continue, but am not sure how much time I will have to get on line when I am there. Let me know.

We are really in the final countdown, and I started at 100 days left.
Wow, that's a lot of fat per nut!!
Oh, and I don't want Christmas to hurry past - I actually love it, and sometimes I want to freeze my grandchildren just where they are. The twelve year old grandson is on his way now, and sounds so excited - he may not sound that way at 13 or 14! The one and a half year old who is so excited over stars and santas, but has no idea that he will get to open gifts on Christmas morning! Anyway, everyone have a great day. Take care LauraA

Hi all, and thanks, Amy for adding up and posting the losses again. For now, I'm posing losses here and on McDougall Talk. At least I finally had a loss to post!
