Good Morning,

Started Monday after an eating binge. Started at 198.4 and today I'm 195.2...a loss of 3.2 lbs. :D When I figure out how to get a ticker on my posts  ...I will do so.

Happy Weigh in day everyone!

I know the time is coming when I have no weight loss and won't be so happy to report, but for this week my weight loss is 2 pounds. Yeah!

Congrats to Charlie for making the leap and joining us and for your weight loss! Go to tickerfactory.com and follow the directions to make your own weight loss ticker.

Have a great Thursday!

Amy :)

checking in

No loss, no gain again this week. I wrote a week or so ago how i had managed not to eat something high in fat by eating a lot of my regular MWL food. I have kept on eating more food. I get hungry between meals, and i like to be hungry when i eat, but i guess i am eating too much food. I eat a bowl of salad or veggies and then a bowl or plate of half starch and half veggies... i will try going back to a third of the bowl starch and 2/3rds veggies, plus salad.

What's working for me right now is to have two meals a week higher in fat... i calculated one meal and the extra calories of fat and sugar were about 22% of the amount of calories i think i am eating each day. I will try to get that down to 10% for those two meals, and see if my health is good and i loose weight. I don't usually have a problem with not eating something if i haven't planned for it, but right now i am planning those two meals (all acceptable food on The McDougall Plan). If i have one or two teaspoons of sugar a day and those two higher fat meals, my calculations show me that i am eating 5% calories a week that are not MWL... not that sugar isn't allowed in small quantities on MWL, just that it needs to be not overdone. I am also watching my fruit, and that's the one thing that for now i am eating on the 12 Day Plan rather than MWL, three servings a day, not two.

Have a great week, everyone! May we all be healthier and skinnier next week. And Thanks for being here.

Minus 2 lbs

Postby Yomom » Thu Oct 29, 2009 7:12 am

Minus two for me this week.
Congrats to all of you on this MWL thread for one year. I just joined this month, but am finding that knowing I am reporting weight every Thursday helps give me impulse control. So thanks.

Cowgirlup so sorry to hear about your friend.
I gained 2 lbs. this week. I've been eating baked goods and have been stressed out at work. I am feeling stronger (I had a 3 week head cold)- so I see exercised in my near future.

My scale died! :-(

Honest. It now only weighs people at 4 pounds or 298 pounds...apparently just randomly, too.

Put me as a zero, please.

I am on plan today.

WE can do this.

I have a big pan full of cauliflower, yellow bell pepper, garlic, basil, peppers, salt, red onion, sun dried tomatoes & peas roasting in the oven....its 34 degrees outside, but the kitchen is warm and toasty and smells sooo good. :D
I have bursts of being a lady, but it doesn't last long.

Everyone does seem to be in good spirits.
Beth- congrats on breaking 50! That is a big milestone!
Letha- Your turtle just keeps plugging along in the right direction! Yeah!

Even if you didn't have a "good" week, or weren't as successful as you hoped, kudos to everyone who keeps showing up! Yeah for ALL of us!

LET'S FINISH STRONG-
THERE ARE 64 DAYS LEFT IN 2009!

Hi all, I'm learning lots taking the eCornell class in Plant Based Nutrition on line! I really wish that this information and Dr McDougall's could make it to the general public! I can't weigh in today, traveling still. Take care, LauraA
